Einfach erklärt und auch mit Schulenglisch bestens zu verstehen.Karten zeichnen ist eine wunderbar entspannende Beschäftigung, zu der man kein Überflieger im Zeichnen sein muss. Mit ein wenig Übung bekommt auch jeder Anfänger tolle Karten geschaffen.Für Kinder nur mit Hilfe zu verstehen, wenn sie noch nicht so viel Englisch in der Schule hatten.Es gibt zwar auch sehr viele, gute Tutorials im Internet, aber ich habe persönlich gerne das Papier in der Hand und den Rechner auch einmal ausgeschaltet.
Zuerst einmal, das Buch ist schön aufgemacht und ordentlich strukturiert, d.h. es führt den Leser von der Auswahl der Zeichenmittel und den kleinsten Anfängen einer Karte bis zum glorreichen Schluß. Es ist allerdings klar für Anfänger gedacht. Wer bisher noch keine Erfahrungen mit dem zeichnen von Fantasy-Karten hat, wird hier gut bedient. Alle, die sich in dem Bereich schon ihre Sporen verdient haben, bekommen lediglich ein schönes Buch mit drei, vier Tips, die sie im Zweifelsfall auch in den entsprechenden Gefilden online finden können.
Wow, ich hätte nie erwartet, dass ein Buch für diese Thematik existiert. Ich bemühe mich schon lange die kreierte Fantasy-Welt meines Buches aufzuzeichnen und habe mich bisher "nur" im Internet schlau machen können. Dieses Buch bietet eine echt schöne und übersichtliche Zusammenfassung zu diesem Thema. Zudem ist es echt hübsch aufgemacht - vom Papier bishin zu den Zeichnungen selber. Ein echter gefundener Goldschatz für mich. Mag sein, dass ich zu den "Anfängern" zähle, aber ich finde das Buch supernützlich.
Das Buch ist sehr schön zum Einstieg in das Kartenzeichnen und bietet einen einen schnellen Überblick über die Grundlagen. Zudem ist es schön gebunden und hochwertig gedruckt

Also Amazon hat mich hier schon warten lassen. Aber das Warten hat sich gelohnt.How To Draw Fantasy und RPG Maps zeigt wirklich von Anfang an wie man seine eigene Fantasie Welt als Karte zeichnen kann.Jeder einzelne Schritt ist mit guten Bildern erklährt und wer hier Angst hat weil das Buch in Englisch ist, keine Sorge wer ein gutes Schulenglisch vorweisen kann kommt mit diesem Buch sehr gut zurecht.Tips und Tricks und sehr gute Schritt für Schritt Bilder laden förmlich ein sich an der eigenen Karte zu Versuchen.Und im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen "Wie zeichne ich was" Bücher habe ich hier das erste mal das Gefühl es könnte Klappen.Einziger Wehrmutstropfen am Ende des Buches habe ich ein wenig das Gefühl hier musste plötzlich alles ganz schnell gehen und zu einigen Bildern fehlen mir die Details oder Schritt für Schritt anleitungen. So wird das Schattieren in Farbe nur sehr oberflächlich behandelt, dabei kann gerade Farbe viel Tiefe einer Karte geben. Aber sonst kann ich nur sagen Kaufen und Probieren.5 Kompassnadeln von 5 :-)
